The Structure Nexus, WORKS BY JESSICA SWANK, BROOKE DAY, ASHLEY RABANAL, AND TYSON GENTRY TO BE EXHIBITED AT COLUMBIA COLLEGE’S GOODALL GALLERY.

Exhibition Dates: March 6th – April 13th

Reception: 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, March 20th, 2025

Goodall Gallery & Zero Space Collective present The Structure Nexus, an exhibition of sculpture, drawings, paintings, and photographs. The exhibition is curated by Ashley Rabanal.

This exhibition sits at the juncture of overt and subtle structures, utilizing the fragmented, altered, covered, or absent body as a means of probing the interaction between structure and body. Structure may be hidden behind shrouds of ritual or spirituality or seen in the objects we touch and routines we blindly follow. The Structure Nexus features the work of Zero Space members Jessica Swank, Brooke Day, and Ashley Rabanal, as well as works by Tyson Gentry. The paintings, mixed media drawings, photographs, and sculptures invite the viewer to consider the scope of both quiet and loud structures the body encounters, in moments ranging from mundane to memorable, from physical to digital.

Goodall Gallery is in the Spears Center for the Arts at Columbia College, SC. The college’s address is 1301 Columbia College Dr., Columbia, SC 29203. Gallery hours are Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM or by appointment.
